"Add to Searchbar" for Firefox Instructions
One of our favorite and most used Firefox add-ons is "Add to Searchbar."
It
works with almost all web searcn engines. Yes, exceptions exist. That
said, we have had it work with some OPACS doing various types of
searches.
It's a quick download and you'll be up and running in a matter of minutes. .
Those of you who offer training sessions on web search will find
that even the newest newbie can use it.
Here's are step-by-step directions.
1) Download: Add to Search Bar
add-on.

2) Next, find
any search box. As I said a moment ago MOST (not all) work. Now simply, right
click inside the search box. (Click ONE)
3) Look for the "Add to
Search Bar" option in the menu.
4) Here you can change the name (if you like) OR
add/change the favicon (if available). Click TWO.
5) That's it. Your
done. Now you can search using the engine directly from the Searchbar.
