We find the sources; you get the credit

ResourceShelf readers and visitors are a diverse group. Through reader surveys and our individual interactions with readers, we’ve learned about the many ways our content gets used. Here are a few examples:

  • Feature in a newsletter. Many users take resources they find on ResourceShelf and feature them in their own e-newsletters to serve internal and external clients.
  • Post to intranet. News organizations, companies in the information field, libraries and other organizations capture our RSS feeds and post them to their intranets to share with internal workgroups.
  • Forward links to colleagues. Many users, particularly consultants and professional service providers, send specific posts to clients and prospects, as part of their customer service and relationship-deepening process.
  • Search the archive. For a quick overview on what’s available on the web on a particular topic or featuring specific names, users search the archives to get up to speed.
  • Add to personal collection. Many of us have personal reference collections, on our hard drives or captured with bookmarking software. Users save ResourceShelf posts and resources to their personal collections.
