From an E-mail Message:
The Library launches a new service to enable machines to programmatically access data, starting with Library of Congress Subject Headings. This service is a step toward exposing and interconnecting vocabulary and thesaurus data via URLs.
At this time this new searchable LCSH database contains 342,684 subject authority records.
