Florida’s major theme park companies file “occurrence reports” with the Florida Bureau of Fair Ride Inspection on a quarterly basis. Disney World, SeaWorld Orlando, Universal Orlando, Wet ‘n Wild and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay conduct their own safety programs.

NOTE: In lieu of the state ride safety investigations required of smaller parks, the larger parks have agreed to provide the state with reports on serious injuries, illnesses and deaths associated with their attractions. The parks themselves define what is serious but generally consider an incident reportable if it involves an overnight hospital stay.

Choose a central Florida theme park from the dropdown menu to see reports. Data current through April 2008.
