Yahoo Joins Ask.com and Adds Direct Links to Music Previews on Results Pages
Yahoo is now offering direct links to previews of songs on some search result pages for artists and groups. Ask.com* first introduced this feature in June with the launch of Ask 3D.
Here’s an example:
Rolling Stones (Yahoo) ||| Rolling Stones (Ask.com, look for bio info on top of page and pop tracks in right margin)
It seems clear that Yahoo is still likely ramping up with this feature. We tried searching for several non-pop/rock artists and bands and came up empty while Ask.com did offer a wider range of artists at this time.
