BBC search results pages now include a link that reads, “The BBC Audio & Video search is a new service. More content will be added in the future,” we know see that the Beeb is offering a new tab on their web search results pages.

The results that you see are a mixture of BBC video and audio content. Each programme and clip will show the date of the clip, the available formats and a brief description of its content.

On the description and overview page, Auntie Beeb once again makes clear that this is a new service with limited amounts of content.

It appears that searches are being conducted on titles and other metadata surrounding the clip and does not search every work spoken.

This example also illustrates how a variance in spelling (and the lack of cross-references to bring these like terms together are worth noting. They might be useful for those of you who train searchers.
