Venture Capital: Q2 2007 Israel MoneyTree Report–$319 Million Invested in Israel High-Tech Companies

The latest Kesselman & Kesselman PricewaterhouseCoopers MoneyTree Report shows that venture capital-backed hi-tech companies (companies in which one of the investors in a financing round is a venture capital fund) raised approximately $319 million in Israel during the second quarter of 2007, an increase of approximately 4% in comparison with the previous quarter in which approximately $307 million were raised, and an increase of approximately 6% in comparison with the corresponding quarter last year in which approximately $300 million were raised. The Report further reveals that 80 Israeli hi-tech companies raised capital in the second quarter of the year, as compared to 81 companies raising capital in the previous quarter. The average investment per company was $4 million this quarter, as compared to $3.8 million in the previous quarter.
