Podzinger has been around for a while allowing users to keyword search every word spoken in a podcast. Today, Greg Sterling reports that Podzinger has changed its name is EveryZing. John Battelle also has a post. The service now allows users to search various types of multimedia including video from sources like YouTube (including transcript search). This YouTube/PodZinger service debuted at the very beginning of this year. Other video is searchable using meta tags (aka not transcript searchable.) However, Podcasts can still be searched word by word.

Podscope, part of TVEyes, continues to provide transcript search of podcasts. Its parent, TVEyes, offers both a fee-based service and a free service that allows users to keyword search (every word spoken) from web-based news video from MSNBC, Reuters, and other services.

Fast Facts: Podscope from TVEyes has been available since April 2005. Podzinger debuted in January 2006.

Fast Facts: The new EveryZing service reminds me (in terms of appearance) of SearchforVideo.com. SFV aggregates video content from various online services (Veoh, MetaCafe, YouTube, MySpace, AOL Video, and many others) as well as offering a directory (browsable) of key content providers and a directory of video podcasts.
