National Library of Australia Announces Deal with OCLC

Jan Fullerton AO, National Library Director General, said that Australian bibliographic records would be more accessible to millions of researchers worldwide. In turn, the cataloguing records from 110 countries would be available to Libraries Australia subscribers.

“The National Library of Australia looks forward to working closely with OCLC through this collaborative services agreement which opens up access to WorldCat for Australian libraries. This agreement marks a major step forward in the sharing of Australian bibliographic data and exposure of the collections of Australian libraries internationally,” Ms Fullerton said.
