The World Health Organization on Friday announced that it is improving access to clinical trial information through a Web site that initially will include data from 50,000 clinical trials in Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S., Reuters reports. The online database later will include information from all clinical trials, regardless if they have been published. The Clinical Trial Search Portal is intended to provide researchers, physicians and patients with reliable information about clinical trials that could help them avoid potentially harmful drug side effects.
