+ CustomizeGoogle Adds “Streaming” Results Feature
This is yet another new feature added to the Firefox add-on. Streaming Results (look for it in the web search section) allows the user to continuously scroll through results WITHOUT having to click to the next page of results. This streaming feature will work regardless of what your default search results preference is set at (10,20…100). If “streaming” or non-stop result pages sounds familiar, they should. A9 and MS Live Search Images, Academic, Books, has offered this for some time.

The other day we posted about a new CustomizeGoogle option that, if selected, removes click tracking. Other CustomizeGoogle options include: reenabling right-click on Google Book Search pages, completely removing sponsored listings, anonymizing tools, the ability to add direct links to other engines at the top of results pages (an easy way to compare Google results with results from other search tools), and much more.

+ Snap.com’s Snap Shots Officially Launched (via Snap.com Blog)
How can you use Snap Shots? Here’s a users guide. Many more details and examples at Shots Central. Btw, Snap Shots can range from imagery to audio/video previews, product previews, etc. Both Exalead and Ask.com (cursor over the binoculars) offer preview imagery on results pages. Thumbshots.org also offers preview imagery.
