Another Day and Another Video Search Service Announced, This Time from TV Guide

Another Day and Another Video Search Service, This Time from TVGuide
From the article:

The tool will not try to aggregate the thousands of user-generated videos featuring pet tricks, skits and other antics being posted on sites such as YouTube and Revver.

Instead, it will scour about 60 Web sites from major networks such as ABC and Fox and other video portals such as AOL and Google to find network and original programming produced by major media companies.

The article also points out that TV Guide has mobile video search in the works.

Of course, services like Blinkx, SearchforVideo, and PureVideo have been aggregating video content from both social/sharing sites and mainstream sites for quite some time. Of course, Google Video and AOL Video contain YouTube content.

Yesterday, News Corp. and NBC Universal announced a new video content service.
