Briefs #2: PodZinger Launches Zinglinks; Digital divide cuts deeper in Eastern Europe; San Francisco mulls alternative to Google/Earthlink network

PodZinger Launches Zinglinks
Podzinger allows users to keyword search transcripts of podcasts, vlogs, and other multimedia content. Zinglinks, “lets you share the multimedia content you find on the site. You can post it into blogs or on your website, send it via email, or quickly copy the URL and send it to friends via IM.” Also new at PodZinger is a new larger video player. Competitors offering keyword/transcript search of podcasts and other multimedia material include Podscope and Blinkx. Last week Blinkx launched Blinkx It “widget” that allows users to embed content on a web page/blog.
