Library of Congress: Web Site for Acquisitions and Bibliographic Access Redesigned

New Web Site for Acquisitions and Bibliographic Access

The Acquisitions and Bibliographic Access Directorate (ABA) embarked on a Web site redesign to more effectively present acquisitions and cataloging content. Library of Congress staff consulted with users throughout the redesign process and look forward to additional feedback as users become familiar with the new site. We will continue to involve users as we move to succeeding phases of this redesign which will consist of other sites within the ABA directorate (e.g., Program for Cooperative Cataloging).

The new site provides a single source for all cataloging and acquisitions-related material available from the Library of Congress. This new Web site replaces the current Cataloging, Cataloging Policy and Support Office, and Acquisitions Web sites, and also includes links to cataloging and acquisitions-related material on other Web sites maintained by the Library. Users who have bookmarked the former sites will automatically be redirected to the new Cataloging and Acquisitions home page. All material available on the three current sites will be accessible via this new home page.
