Leonard Kniffel is editor and publisher of American Libraries, the magazine of the American Library Association and author of A Polish Son in the Motherland (Texas A&M University Press, 2005). Born and raised in Michigan, he holds masters degrees in English and library science from Wayne State University in Detroit. He lives and works in Chicago.
