UK: National Archives has merged with the Office of Public Sector Information

The new organisation will work under the National Archives (NA) name with the aim of improving information management across government.

In a statement issued on 31 October 2006, it said it intends to embark on a three point plan to encourage a more responsive approach to challenges in nformation management and opportunities of new technology. This involves leading and transforming information management, guaranteeing the survival of today’s information for tomorrow and making history accessible for everyone.
