This is a question we get often. Here are a few suggestions.

1) Yahoo News
Limit your search to AP Photo and sort by date. In other words, a near real-time feed of imagery as it enters the Yahoo News database. You can also do the same thing by replacing AP with Reuters or AFP.

2) Ask.com News offers news images sorted by category:
+ World
+ US
+ Business
+ Sports
+ Science
+ Technology
+ Entertainment
+ Health
+ Politics

3) Lycos: The World In Photos
Includes weekly news and sports photo roundups.
