Virtually Fly Around the Globe in 3D With SkylineGlobe (Beta); Developers API Also Available

Well, if one beta is cool, how about two?

First, Nexidia (the multimedia engine, see below) and now another product we’ve been writing about for months has released its public beta. SkylineGlobe is here as a beta release!

A detailed overview of SkylineGlobe titled, “SkylineGlobe: A Whole New World” was written (we linked to it) in June by Adena Schutzberg from Directions magazine. To put it mildly, Adena is a true guru in this space and I think we can summarize that she was impressed with her sneak preview of the product. Since then, we’ve been checking the site on a regular basis to see if/when the software would become available. Well, in the past few days or so, the service has gone live. It appears that the beta is U.S. only at this time.

A small gallery of images is available here. The clarity of the images is impressive.
