We are big fans and regular users of TVEyes here at RS so great to see the mention. However, we were very surprised to see several companies not mentioned including Nexidia that takes an entirely different approach to indexing. They break any language down into phonetic sounds (phonemes) for faster and more accurate indexing. Earlier this week we listed several other (of many players in this space). …a new interface for its Web-based America’s Historical Newspapers collection, which includes Early American Newspapers, Series I, II and III, 1690-1922…he new America’s Historical Newspapers interface provides a clickable map of the United States to help limit searches by state and region; pre-configured options for “Presidential Eras” and “Eras in American History” that limit searches by timeframe and snippets - or targeted previews - of articles within search results to help users understand context and save time.
