Macmillan Medical Communications (MMC), a division of the scientific, technical and medical publisher that includes Nature, has launched Dissect Medicine (www.dissectmedicine.com), the first collaborative medical news website. Sources include established general news sites such as the BBC and The Guardian as well as specialist science and medical sites such as Nature and the British Medical Journal. Users submit news stories for review with tags and keyword, which are then ranked by the user group, so that only the most relevant articles are displayed as headline stories. Users can leave comments on each story.
