Googleyahoo.net and Yahoogoogle.com Registered to Yahoo; GoogleNews.info Registered to Individual
Yes, we like monitoring domain names here at ResourceShelf. This weekend we noticed that:
GoogleYahoo.net was registered to Yahoo on Friday after its previous owner did not renew.
GoogleYahoo.com is registered to a person in The Netherlands.
GoogleYahoo.org is registered to a person in California.
In reverse order:
+ YahooGoogle.com is registered to Yahoo (since April 22, 2005)
+ YahooGoogle.org is not registered.
+ YahooGoogle.net is registrered and lists someone in Bhutan. The domain expires this week.
None of the hyphenated versions of these domains (Google-Yahoo or Yahoo-Google)Â is registered to either company.
On an unrelated domain name note, GoogleNews.info was registered on Friday to a person in Russia. Interesting, since all of the other GoogleNews domains (.org, .net, .us) are registered to Google Inc. except for GoogleNews.com which is registered to someone in Denmark and does not expire until 2007. Interesting since other Google domains (examples Froogle and GoogleBase are registered to Google in the .info domain). The GoogleNews.info domain itself has been around since 2004.
