Air Fares: Farecast Increases Coverage from 2 Cities to Locations

Back in June we posted about Farecast.com, a service that is based on technology from the University of Washington (that we wrote about several years ago) that helps a consumer decide when the best time is to purchase an airplane ticket. When we wrote about it back in June, Farecast was only available for 2 cities (Seattle and Boston) and was a closed beta. These days, registration is no longer required to use the database and fare info is available for more than 55 cities/airports including LGA, JFK, ORD, MDW, BWI, IAD, DCA, and ATL. More about the technology in our June post and from this web page.
