Google Registers Checkoutsucks.com Domain; Yahoo Registers YahooSearchSucks.com

It’s very common for companies (not only search and Internet companies) to register xxxSuck(s).com web sites for their company name and for various products and services they offer. It’s a pure business move and in this day and age (when domains can be easily and cheaply registered) not a bad idea. Get it now before someone else registers it so you don’t need to try to get it (or buy it) back.

Earlier this week, Google registered Checkoutsucks.com.

As we said a moment ago, this is nothing new for Google or other major companies. Other “suck” domains registered to Google include:
GoogleSucks.com (1999)
GmailSucks.com
FroogleSucks.com

Just last week, Yahoo registered YahooSearchSucks.com.

Another example, adwordssuck(s).com is registered to a person outside the company.
