one of resourceshelf’s favorite (it’s useful, it’s timely, and it’s even fun) open-web video search sites, searchforvideo.com has released a new version of their site today (version 3.0). what’s new?

+ cleaner, crisper look.
+ more frequent updates to the database with new content. wow! we already spot material in sfv only minutes after it’s posted.
+ real time lens (what are people searching for, what’s entering the database) is now available on all category pages. look for the box at the bottom of each category page.
+ links to sort by date or relevance (default).
+ keyword search alerts via rss still available.

also, sfv’s just relaunched searchable directory of video podcasts remains available. content from over 10,000 producers.
