New Databases: AcademyOne will catalog online every college course

A company founded by a veteran of the educational software niche is assembling a database of all courses being offered by U.S. colleges so it can capitalize on the huge number of students who transfer between schools…AcademyOne Inc., which was started last year by Chairman and CEO David Moldoff, hopes to have the database completed by the end of the year. It intends to update it continually after that… The company is rolling out its first products — the AcademyOne Course Atlas and Course Equivalency Management Center — this month. The atlas is an online course catalog; the center helps schools identify courses at other institutions that may be equivalent to courses they offer.
