Congratulations to the Washington Post news researchers who get some well-deserved attention in this column by the WP ombudsman in Sunday’s paper. Kudos and way to go, folks. Let us also say that since the very beginning, the research staff at the WP have been wonderful friends and supporters of both ResourceShelf and DocuTicker.

Btw, the database that’s mentioned in the article that was created by Derek Willis (and Adrian Holovaty) can be found here. Derek also gets mucho credit and plenty of thanks from the RS and DT team for being a major motivating force in RS and DT switching from Blogger to Word Press. Gary also had the honor of speaking to a class that Derek teaches at American University.

We learned about this article from one of the most well-known librarians in the U.S., Kee Malesky from NPR. Kee is one of the amazing National Public Radio librarians (also RS and DT supporters from day one). A special “shout out” to Kee for recently receiving (along with co-recipient Ellie Briscoe from National Geographic) the Agnes Henebry Roll of Honor Award at this year’s SLA Annual Conference. Congrats, Kee and Ellie, and welcome to the club. *
