Microsoft research publishes. You can go to the site and read the papers. Google is extraordinarily secretive. “How do you reconcile this with the notion you’re doing this for the good of humanity?” Adam [Smith] ducks the question, saying he wasn’t around when Google set the policies so he doesn’t know.”
