Canadian Reference Discussion List Opens For Business
The National Library of Canada is pleased to announce the launch of REFCAN-L, a new electronic forum for discussing issues relating to the provision of reference and information services from a Canadian perspective. REFCAN-L will facilitate and encourage information exchange amongst practitioners and information providers involved and interested in various aspects of reference services in Canada. Participants are encouraged to use the list to:
- Disseminate information relevant to reference staff in Canadian libraries
- Provide information on activities of interest to the Canadian reference community
- Discuss issues of concern regarding reference services, particularly those relating to the virtual environment
- Exchange information, experiences (successful and less successful ones), project highlights and other initiatives worthy of being shared
