From the sound of it several of the people questioned seem to have forgotten that other search engines exist. Even if it is removed from Google, what about Teoma, AllTheWeb, and AltaVista? The article also touches on what’s termed “mistaken Google-identity” or in othe words, more examples for your “judging info on the web” folder. Although the article does contain a sidebar with a few tips about “limiting your exposure”, it doesn’t give any mention (or urls) to methods like meta tags or other, more sophisticated tools, for an individual web page owner and/or webmaster to have material not crawled by search engines.
