Learn About Info Retrieval from Google’s Director of Research
In March of 2000, Monika Henzinger, Google’s Director of Research, offered a tutorial session titled “Web Information Retrieval” at the ICDE (International Conference on Data Engineering). Obviously, attending Dr. Henzinger’s presentation in person and having the ability to ask her questions would be ideal. Nevertheless, her informative slides are useful tools to help you learn more about how web information retrieval works.
