UNESCO Symposium on Electronic Dissemination of Dissertations Concludes
Lead, “ETD 2001: The Fourth International Symposium on Electronic Theses and Dissertations” ended last week at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena (USA). The UNESCO sponsored event brought together ca 160 experts, mainly librarians and other information specialists, to look at the development of projects for the electronic creation and dissemination of theses and doctoral dissertations. This genre is being considered as an important element of scientific and scholarly information.”
